Dr. Ashraf Al-Tahini

Dr. Ashraf Al-Tahini possesses more than 30 years of experience in digital transformation, innovation, and energy technologies. He is recognized as one of the leading figures in industrial digital transformation and technological innovation within the energy sector, with an extensive track record of leading large-scale technology and operational initiatives at the institutional level.

◉ Throughout his career, Dr. Ashraf Al-Tahini held several leadership positions at Saudi Aramco, including:
• Chief Executive Officer of Aramco’s Exploration & Petroleum Engineering Technology Company.
• Vice President of the Exploration & Petroleum Engineering Digital Center at Saudi Aramco.
• General Manager of Aramco Research Center in North America.
• Assistant Vice President of the Exploration & Petroleum Engineering Center at Saudi Aramco.
• Chief Technical Expert at the Exploration & Petroleum Engineering Center at Saudi Aramco.
• Director of the Exploration & Petroleum Engineering Center at Saudi Aramco.

He also served as a Petroleum Engineering Researcher at the Exploration & Petroleum Engineering Center at Saudi Aramco, a Research Scientist at Saudi Aramco, and an Operations Engineer at SABIC Petrochemicals (SADAF).

◉ In addition to his executive leadership roles, Dr. Ashraf Al-Tahini serves on several local and international boards and committees, including being a Board Member of Aramco Digital and a member of the Advisory Board of World Oil Magazine. He has also participated in leadership roles across various global conferences and specialized organizations in the fields of energy and technology.

◉ Dr. Ashraf Al-Tahini holds both a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree with honors in Petroleum Engineering and Geology from the University of Oklahoma, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
